A house is a good metaphor for your personal life, your family, business, city and nation.  What happens in personal life often translates to public life and public life presses in on our person.

All over the world lives are crumbling and crashing down.  People just don't know how to live.  They do not know the way to keep their house standing.

There are at least five great pillars of keeping the house of your life and church standing.
 

THE WORD

Matthew 7:24  "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock."
Even in the church there is very little of this and “believers” are paying the price.  Many want a word from God but are not prepared to obey the Words he has already given.  Those who rightly use the words of the Shepherd will quickly get to hear the live voice of the Spirit of Jesus.
 

WORSHIP

Psalm 134:1  "Praise the Lord, all servants of the Lord, who stand by night in the house of the Lord."
Psalm 84:4  "Blessed are they who dwell in Your house; they will still praise You. Selah."
John 4:23   "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to worship Him."

One of the keys to mental health and even brilliance and prosperity is proper worship of the Living God.  Selfishness will kill you and much around you.
Romans 1:21  "For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him. Instead, their thoughts turned to worthless things, and their senseless hearts were darkened."
If we cannot be thankful to God how can we be thankful to mortals and hence be thankful for our own lives and slowly but surely all things will become dark and bitter.
 

PRAYER

Perhaps the first role of the house of my life is prayer.  My every thought could be a discussion with the ever present Lord and hence God could truly become the partner of my life. The Church building and especially every gathering of believers should revolve around our conversation with Jesus.
Mark 11:17  "And He taught, saying to them, Is it not written, "My house shall be called the house of prayer for all nations?" But you have made it a den of thieves."
1Kings 8:42  "for they shall hear of Your great name and of Your strong hand and of Your stretched-out arm; and if he shall come and pray toward this house,"
 

SOUL WINNING

Luke 14:23  "And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled."
Soul winning is every believers task but we constantly want a VISION. Jesus was not joking when he said, “Go and make disciples ...” The Father wants all his lost sheep found .... GO
 

LOVE

Galatians 6:10  "So then, whenever we have the opportunity, let's practice doing good to everyone, especially to the family of faith."
The Bible is clear that love is a very practical thing.  Talk is cheap and even becomes distasteful without actions.  We start our love in action with the church.  Visit them, feed them, find them a job.


EVERY WORD THAT COMES FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD
REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS
PRAY WITHOUT CEASING
GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES
LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, SOUL, ...
