All falls apart when things get tough.  While all is sunny and roses we are full of hallelujah's but when trouble comes we grumble blame accuse and become brats.  You are not alone.  This is how Israel constantly behaved.  That is not faith.  I am very aware that the middle class church is in desperate need of real faith.  Our faith lies in our own ability and in the “strength of our horses”.  Real faith is a determined knowledge that God is able.

We want a dynamic church (actually most church sitters just want entertainment) - real church is when we live out real faith, hope and love --- these are the greatest works of the Holy Spirit and it make tongues a trifle issue.  You want to experience the presence and power of God - then cry out for faith to hold on when you your world is falling apart.  Call out for God's love when you are bitter and broken inside.  Call out for His hope when you think your world is over.

Ezekiel 11:20  "When they live by my statutes and keep my ordinances by observing them, then they'll be my people and I will be their God."
Ezekiel 14:11  "Then Israel's house won't wander away from me again, nor will they defile themselves again with all their transgressions.  They'll become my people and I'll be their God," declares the Lord GOD. "
Ezekiel 37:23  "They will never again defile themselves with their idols, with other loathsome things, or with any of their sins.  Instead, I will deliver them from all of the places where they have sinned, and then I'll cleanse them. They will be my people and I will be their God."
Ezekiel 37:27  "I will pitch my tent among them and will be their God. They will be my people."
Zechariah 8:8  "I will also bring them back to live in the midst of Jerusalem. They will be my people and I will truly be their righteous God."
2Corinthians 6:16  "What agreement can a temple of God make with idols?  For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said: "I will live and walk among them.  I will be their God, and they will be my people." …  18 I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters," declares the Lord Almighty."

Revelation 21:3  "I heard a loud voice from the throne say, "See, the tent of God is among humans! He will make his home with them, and they will be his people.  God himself will be with them, and he will be their God.  4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes.  There won't be death anymore.  There won't be any grief, crying, or pain, because the first things have disappeared."  5 The one sitting on the throne said, "See, I am making all things new!"
